A supportive four-week circle to get unstuck, reconnect with your creativity, and make meaningful progress on your writing
Ideal for: Writers in or near midlife who need support getting unstuck, generating writing, finishing work, or finding new avenues to your creativity.
“Write The Pause” creative writing accountability circles meet weekly, one month at a time, to help women/ non-binary writers in or around midlife move through creative challenges, such as:
Feeling stuck, fallow, overwhelmed by ideas, lacking accountability for a writing practice, wanting to improve craft but struggling with motivation and more.
If you’re tired of “going it alone” as a writer and want a community to both hold your hand and keep you accountable while elevating your writing craft, this circle is for you. Writers who have experienced the onslaughts of midlife or aging, including but not limited to: creative frustrations, the burdens of caregiving, brain fog, mood swings, struggling to access your creativity or finish a project, this circle is for you.
In class we will:
-
Set and take steps toward achieving a manageable writing goal
-
Read and discuss meaningful writing
-
Play with writing prompts
-
Engage in craft lessons that elevate your writing or practice
-
Deepen your writing practice beyond simply “words on the page”
A maximum of 15 people will meet over four weeks to focus on their individual aim, but in community, whether that’s to finish a project, get unstuck, regenerate a creative practice, create a finished piece of writing, and so on.
