Crafting Engaging Workshops: A Seminar for Writers who Teach (or want to!)

Tools and inspiration for teaching writing from a place of creativity and connection with Kim Culbertson

Ideal for writers who teach, and writers ready to step into teaching

A craft-focused workshop designed for writers who teach—or want to. Drawing on decades of experience, Kim Culbertson explores how a joyful personal writing practice can deepen and energize the way we teach others. Through guided exercises, reflection, and discussion, you’ll discover ways to spark creativity in your classroom, support your students more effectively, and reconnect with your own reasons for writing.

Kim has conducted workshops for teachers and writers for over 25 years. She sits on the Writers Council for National Writing Project and is a consulting author for Heinemann Publishing. She is a founding member of Flash Fiction Institute and works as a mentor in the MFA in Creative Writing at Dominican University of California. She believes in the joyful practice of writing and hopes to share strategies to bring that joy into your own work as teachers of writing.
