Kate Woodworth is the award-winning author of the literary climate fiction novel Little Great Island and of Racing into the Dark, originally published in 1989. A retired medical writer and a certified end-of-life doula as well as the creative force behind the grassroots climate change initiative Be the Butterfly, she has appeared on C-Span2 Book TV; Good Morning, Utah; NPR’s Maine Calling; and Good Day, Maine. Kate earned her MFA from Boston University and lives in the Boston area.
